Math About Watson to ISP Computers

VOLUME= length*width*height
  • Power 750 Specs.
  • 6.9" *17.3" * 28.7" = 3425.1" In3
  • weight- 120 lbs.
ISP
  • 13.2" * 14.8" * 3.8"=731.1" In3
  • I multiplied 731.1" by a percent (%) until I reached 3425.1" or close to it

IBM Watson Server Racks
  • 79.3" * 25.4" * 43.3"= 87,215.7 In3
  • 731*469%=3428- meaning that Watson is 470% larger than the computers in ISP
Processor Cores
  • 79 computers- ISP
  • Watson has 2,880 processor cores
  • 2,880/2= 1440 computers are needed in ISP to have the same amount as Watson
Deep Blue
  • would have to be 100 times more powerful thatn it was in 1997 when it beat the chess champion to compete againest Watson
